Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) consisting of 44 amino acids. It has attracted growing interest in research focused on visceral fat reduction, growth hormone deficiency, and metabolic health.

Studies have shown that Tesamorelin stimulates endogenous growth hormone secretion from the pituitary gland by binding to GHRH receptors, leading to increased insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels. It has demonstrated significant reductions in visceral adipose tissue (VAT) in clinical studies. It may also play a role in lipoprotein metabolism, cognitive function improvement, and management of HIV-associated lipodystrophy.

Key Research Areas:

  • GHRH receptor activation and GH/IGF-1 axis modulation

  • Visceral adipose tissue (VAT) reduction

  • HIV-associated lipodystrophy research

  • Cognitive function and neuroprotection

  • Metabolic health and lipid metabolism
