Adipotide (also known as FTPP) is a proapoptotic peptide conjugate that targets the vascular endothelium of white adipose tissue. It has attracted growing interest in research focused on adipose tissue remodeling, obesity treatment, and metabolic syndrome.
Studies have shown that Adipotide binds selectively to prohibitin (PHB) receptors expressed on adipose vasculature, inducing endothelial cell apoptosis and subsequent adipose tissue regression. It may also play a role in improved insulin sensitivity, reduced inflammatory markers, and weight loss without affecting lean body mass in preclinical models.
